Terms of Use

I'M HERE · Version 1.4.1 · Effective: 8 October 2026

These terms are the agreement between you and Mert Dolu. By using the app you accept them. We have written the parts that matter without softening them.

1. Who can use the app

2. How it works

When you say you are here you become visible for 30 minutes. During that window you can see eligible people nearby and send a request to meet. If they accept, a limited chat opens. During a chat you can send your contact card to the other person with one tap; they decide for themselves whether to send theirs.

No one is shown your precise location, their distance from you, or your direction.

When you say you are here you choose one purpose for that session: networking or friendship. People nearby can see it. If you try to send a request to someone with a different purpose, the app warns you first. If you choose Send anyway while that person is still checked in nearby, the request does not go through, and for 10 days the two of you will not see each other in Nearby or be able to send each other requests. Chats you already have, blocking and reporting are not affected. Section 3 of the Privacy Policy explains this rule in full, including when it does not apply.

You can suggest an event from the Events section. Our team reviews suggestions and decides whether to publish an event; see section 10.

3. Rules you agree to

You must not:

We recommend you do not put sensitive details — health, religious or political views, ethnicity or sexual orientation — in your profile.

4. Meeting in person — please read

Important

This app introduces you to real people. We do not verify anyone's identity, run criminal record checks, or research their background. We cannot guarantee that someone is who they appear to be. A LinkedIn link on someone's profile was added by them and has not been checked by us.

The decision to meet is yours and the responsibility is yours. Meet in public places, do not carry valuables, tell someone you trust where you are going, and leave the moment you feel uncomfortable.

If you feel you are in danger, call 999 — not us.

5. Contact details you share

What you put on your contact card, and whether you send it, is entirely your choice. Sending is one tap and cannot be undone on their side. Once shared, that detail is in the other person's hands; withdrawing it in the app cannot make them unsee it. Bear that in mind when sharing with someone you have just met.

6. Reporting and blocking

You can block and report any user from within the app. A blocked person is not told.

We review reports and may suspend or close an account. We will tell you the outcome of a report you made. If you want to challenge a decision about your own account, write to [email protected].

No user can see report files.

7. Closing your account

You can delete your account at any time from within the app. Section 7 of the Privacy Policy explains exactly what deletion does — in particular that messages in the other person's chat remain.

If you break these terms we may suspend or close your account. Where safety requires it we may do so without prior notice, and explain afterwards.

8. Availability

We provide the app as it is. We do not promise it will run without interruption, that there will always be people nearby, or that meetings will go well. We may change, add or remove features.

9. Liability

We provide the app with reasonable care and skill. Even so:

We do not limit our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot lawfully be limited. Nothing in these terms reduces your rights as a consumer under UK law.

10. Content

What you write and the photo you upload are yours. You give us permission to use them so the app can work — to show your content to the other person and to carry out safety reviews. That permission is limited to running the app; we will not use your content in advertising or anywhere else.

Event suggestions. If you suggest an event, you confirm that the details are accurate, that you are allowed to share them, and that your suggestion does not include anyone's personal contact details or a private home address. We do not accept suggestions for paid or commercial events. Our team decides whether to accept a suggestion and does not have to give a reason; accepting a suggestion does not mean we will publish it. You give us permission to edit your suggestion and to publish it as an event in the app for all users. The event does not show who suggested it, and we will not use your suggestion in advertising or anywhere outside the app. The Privacy Policy explains how long we keep it.

LinkedIn link. If you add a LinkedIn link to your profile, it must be a link to your own LinkedIn profile; if your LinkedIn address changes, update or remove it. We do not check that it is yours or that your LinkedIn page is accurate, and we do not contact LinkedIn about it. People near you who open your profile in Nearby, and people you send a request to, can see and open the link. Once someone has opened your LinkedIn page, removing the link or blocking them here does not change what they have seen or what they can do on LinkedIn. You can remove the link at any time. On LinkedIn, LinkedIn's own terms apply.

The app's name, design and software are ours.

11. Governing law

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have jurisdiction. Your rights to bring proceedings as a consumer in the UK are unaffected.

12. Changes to these terms

When we update these terms we change the version number and date. For significant changes we will tell you in the app. Continuing to use the app after a change means you accept the new terms.

13. Contact

[email protected]

14. If you downloaded the app from Apple's App Store

Your licence to use the app on an Apple device comes from Apple's Licensed Application End User License Agreement (the "Standard EULA") and the usage rules in the Apple Media Services Terms and Conditions. These terms apply alongside it. You also agree that:

Questions, complaints or claims about the app should come to us, not Apple, at [email protected].
